Rachel Hale, 8th grader from MAU (sister of MAU 125 pounder Zak Hale) competed in the United States Girls Wrestling Association Nationals in Michigan. She took 3rd place to earn All-American Status.
Her only loss was in the semi's to the defending champion (at the same weight) from Iowa. Rachel lost 5-2. That girl went on to win the tournament. Her other victories included;
9-1 decision vs. Carissa Madson from California
Pin vs Sierra Vulgamore from Ohio (took 5th)
9-0 decision vs Carissa Madson from California (took 6th)
5-0 decision vs Francesca Girorgio from Pennsylvania (took 4th)
