Congratulations to the Green Mountain Boys and Barre Wrestling Clubs for solid performances in the Pop & Flo National Duals in Lake Placid.
The Green Mountain Boys lost an opening round match to The Barn (NH) and Barre lost to Wayne, NY.
Barre bounced back with a 45-23 win over Team Placid, USA, then lost to Silverback Wrestling Club (CT) 56-18. Barre then beat The Mighty Quahogs (RI) 47-25, and lost to Journeymen Gold (NY) 56-17, to take 6th Place in the "B Bracket".
The Green Mountain Boys bounced back with a 63-6 win over Atlas North, CT and a 54-15 win over the Mighty Quahogs. GMB dropped a 46-19 loss to Razor Wrestling Club (NY) and then lost to Titan Wrestling Club (NY) 51-28, to take 4th place in the "B Bracket".
Congratulations to the club coaches for putting in the hustle and effort to give local wrestlers a chance to face top-notch competition in the off-season.
