Actually at the pre-season state meeting over the spring/summer, we announced it.  Not sure if the information got back to the MS programs.  The MS coaches should make sure that they send a rep to the spring and fall meetings, they have been lightly attended by the MS guys. 

We will again attempt to host a jamboree on the first Saturday of competition if teams are interested.  I may be able to get some out of state schools as well (at least I'll try).

 yeas i think jeff had a good idea about having jr at vasity macthes but you migh need more then one jr teram to come as the number are down.  an i know a mau try to set a  jr jambare early an the seson but didnt get any repose but may if we had this shcedule in the off seson  so teams  plan on  something like  that in the frist weekend thatwrestling is allow. and if we could get  a couple otherteams to host tourment that would be good

First round is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM and will be continuous until 1st thru 6th places are determined (breaks will be taken only if needed).  A minimum of four (4) mats will be used for all rounds (JH state tournament will run concurrently with the JV tournament).
ENTRY FEE IS $10.00 PER WRESTLER WITH A MAXIMUM OF $140 PER TEAM
Please have checks with you on the day of the event and make them payable to the Vermont Wrestling Coaches Association.  Early payments and cash will also be accepted.

Hello - How does the registration process work for this tournament? We would like to sign up our son who is in 5th grade. He has not "started"
 with  his regular youth team and we wondered if it is a walk on situation? Would someone send us information on who to contact for registration.

As a follow-on, I think Jeff has a great idea about setting up Jr. High matches at varsity events.  The mats are set up, the referees are paid, and the fans are (ostensibly) in the stands--how could it be easier?  I'm not sure if there are any VPA restrictions, but it seems as though it is in the VPA's own interest to help Vermont wrestling survive...
